CINCINNATI, OH – Eric Conroy, a Cincinnati native, U.S. Air Force veteran and former CIA case officer, today announced his candidacy for Congress in Ohio’s First Congressional District. Conroy is launching his campaign to fight for working families, restore economic opportunity, and keep communities safe:

Raised on the West Side of Cincinnati in a proud four-generation blue-collar family, Conroy brings a deep-rooted commitment to service.  Conroy was inspired to join the military after 9/11, graduated near the top of his class from the U.S. Air Force Academy, served as a Captain in Special Operations units before joining the CIA’s Directorate of Operations. Over the last two decades, he led critical intelligence missions around the world to protect American lives and interests.

“Washington politicians, including Congressman Greg Landsman, have forgotten the values that built this country—hard work, personal responsibility, and putting America first,” Conroy said. “I’m running for Congress because I’ve seen the threats we face abroad and the struggles families face here at home. It’s time for new leadership that will stand up to the extremes, restore common sense, and fight to make sure the American Dream stays within reach for every Ohioan.”

Conroy’s campaign will focus on the areas where Congressman Greg Landsman has failed: revitalizing Main Street, supporting law enforcement, securing the border, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and unleashing economic growth through support for small businesses, job training, and energy independence.

About Eric Conroy

Eric Conroy’s mission began on the West Side of Cincinnati, where four generations of blue-collar grit and a World War II veteran grandfather taught him that service is bigger than self.  After 9/11, Eric answered his generation’s call, graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy near the top of his class, rising to the rank of Captain in Special Operations units, and later serving with the CIA as a Case Officer where he conducted high-risk intelligence missions that kept Americans safe.  Though his service took him around the world several times, Eric’s heart never left Cincinnati.  Now, he’s running for Congress to fight for working families, revitalize Main Street, and keep our communities safe—because the American Dream should be within reach for every Ohioan.
