Political Outsider and Veteran Now Sets His Sights on Defeating Career Politician Greg Landsman in November
CINCINNATI, OH – Eric Conroy, an Air Force veteran and former CIA officer running as a political outsider, tonight won the Republican primary in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District. With the nomination secured, Conroy now turns to the November contest against incumbent Democrat Greg Landsman — a career politician whose record is badly out of step with the families, workers, and small businesses of Southwest Ohio.
“Tonight, Republican voters in Southwest Ohio sent a clear message: it’s time for new leadership. I’m grateful, I’m humbled, and I’m ready to get to work,” said Eric Conroy. “I want to thank my opponents for a hard-fought campaign and for their commitment to this district. We share the same goal — a stronger America, and an end to Greg Landsman’s career in Congress. Starting tomorrow, this is a unified Republican Party with one mission: fire Greg Landsman to restore commonsense leadership to unify around middle-class priorities.”
Conroy thanked his primary opponents for the energy and ideas they brought to the race and pledged to build a unified coalition heading into the general election. He emphasized that the choice in November will not be a close call.
Political Outsider vs. Career Politician. Eric Conroy has spent his career serving his country in the CIA and the United States Air Force. Greg Landsman has spent his career climbing the political ladder, from Cincinnati City Council to Congress — voting in lockstep with Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries, and the most radical members of his party.
Service in Uniform vs. Service to Self. Eric Conroy raised his right hand and swore an oath to defend this country, not once, but twice. Greg Landsman has spent his time in Washington serving the special interests, trading stocks and enriching himself. The contrast could not be sharper.
Common Sense vs. Radical Liberal Politics. Eric Conroy will fight for secure borders, lower costs, safer streets, and an economy that works for working families. Greg Landsman has voted to keep the border open, defund the police and ICE, support higher taxes, and allow biological males to compete in women’s sports.
