Press Release: Conroy Calls Out Landsman for Siding With Violent Criminal Illegals

LANDSMAN OPPOSES REMOVING CRIMINAL ILLEGALS FROM OUR STREETS

Cincinnati, OH — Today, Eric Conroy strongly denounced Rep. Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) for his dangerous opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and recent call for ICE to withdraw from Minneapolis, a stance that undermines law enforcement and puts American communities at risk:

“Greg Landsman’s position isn’t just wrong, it’s reckless,” said Eric Conroy. “Calling for ICE to stand down sends the message that criminal illegal immigrants are welcome to remain on our streets. Ohioans deserve leaders who will back law enforcement, secure our borders, and protect our communities — not politicians who throw public safety under the bus and grovel to the radical left. Greg Landsman isn’t a moderate. He’s an extreme liberal.”

“While Landsman defends violent illegal immigrants remaining in our communities, he has never once expressed outrage or remorse for the victims, or thousands of American families, who have had loved ones killed by violent illegal immigrants and the deadly drugs they bring into America. Landsman truly has more regard for illegal immigrants than American citizens,” Conroy added.

Rep. Landsman’s position echoes radical calls to pull federal agents off the streets in cities grappling with crime and public safety challenges. In a statement, Landsman urged ICE to leave Minneapolis, claiming federal officers were “provoking chaos” and should “immediately withdraw before more innocent Americans are hurt.”

By opposing effective immigration enforcement, Landsman is siding with violent illegal immigrants over the safety of Ohio families. His rhetoric dangerously absolves hardened murderers, rapists, pedophiles, human traffickers, drug dealers, and gang members of accountability — individuals who federal law enforcement has prioritized for arrest and removal. Landsman’s desire to coddle criminals is not new. On the Cincinnati City Council, Landsman also supported efforts to defund law enforcement.

Conroy called on Landsman to immediately retract his statement and affirm support for ICE and all law enforcement officers working to enforce federal immigration laws and keep Americans safe.

About Eric Conroy

Eric Conroy’s mission began on the West Side of Cincinnati, where four generations of blue-collar grit and a World War II veteran grandfather taught him that service is bigger than self. After 9/11, Eric answered his generation’s call, graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy near the top of his class, rising to the rank of Captain in Special Operations units, and later serving with the CIA as a Case Officer where he conducted high-risk intelligence missions that kept Americans safe.

Though his service took him around the world several times, Eric’s heart never left Cincinnati. Now, he’s running for Congress to fight for working families, revitalize Main Street, and keep our communities safe—because the American Dream should be within reach for every Ohioan.
