A Cincinnati Republican has announced plans to challenge U.S. Rep Greg Landsman for Ohio’s 1st District seat.
Eric Conroy, who previously served in the Air Force and as an officer with the CIA, said he decided to run because of his intimate understanding of the district and its residents’ needs as a fourth-generation Cincinnatian.
“I will strive to be that common sense representative for our very common sense city,” Conroy told The Enquirer.
Conroy grew up in suburban Cincinnati and now lives Downtown. He went to Elder High School before graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy and has a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University, according to a campaign news release.
