Conroy Statement on Redistricting

Cincinnati, OH – Today Eric Conroy, Air Force veteran, former CIA case officer and Republican for Congress in OH-01 responded to the new Ohio congressional map passed by Ohio’s Redistricting Commission:

“I got in this race in July because southwest Ohio deserves someone who will represent their priorities and values. I grew up here and it gave me the values and work ethic I carry with me to this day. I’ve dedicated my adult life to service, and this is a continuation of that,” Conroy said. “We don’t have that in career politician Greg Landsman. He represents the values of California and New York billionaires who fund his campaign, and he serves himself not this community.”

“I’m in the race to win it, and I welcome the new lines because now the voters of this region have a fair map and a real choice,” Conroy added. “My focus is on economic development and creating jobs, safe streets and good schools. These are all areas where we can and must do better. It’s time for a return to pragmatism, common sense and actually solving problems.”

Despite only being in the race for two months, Conroy raised $135,000 and contributed another $290,000 to his campaign for a total of approximately $425,000. Additionally, Red Bridge Leadership, an PAC working to elect Conroy, raised $200,000.
